The DOE will soon be starting its random COVID testing of in-person students and staff. We strongly encourage parents of cohort A/B students in grades 1- 5 to sign the consent form. If you have not yet returned the paper form please go online and sign via your child’s NYC Schools Account.

 

We are all committed to keeping our community safe, and this is one important way to do this. Note that a P.S. 25 staff member will be with children during testing and will make sure that it is a comfortable, supportive environment for them. Also, the DOE’s nasal test is less invasive, with a shorter swab, than the one commonly given at other testing sites. Although the DOE is still providing guidance on what happens if families don’t consent to testing, one possibility they have discussed is moving children to all-remote school.
