Principal's Welcome

Dear Parents, and School Community,

First, I would like to invite you to explore our site as it provides valuable information regarding our school, the remote learning environment, the programs that make our school unique, and the resources to support your child's social and academic development.

As Principal of PS 25, I understand that each child comes to us here at The Bilingual School (TBS) with unique experiences, interests, and learning styles. My goal is to ensure that our school community truly knows and understands every child as an individual and uses this knowledge to guide, support, and motivate him/her. I believe that good teaching requires continual professional development, ongoing support, guidance, reflection, and collaboration.

I value community and parental involvement at every level and encourage you to partner with us to give every child the most powerful and joyous learning experience possible. It is also my goal to promote an appreciation for learning, social consciousness, and self. I want to develop a community of teacher leaders that strive to help each student become a self-reliant, resourceful, and motivated learner. My objective is to guide teachers and students to attain their personal best as they develop a deep understanding of the content and the historical role their lineage has played in it. These goals will be accomplished by providing professional development that pushes teachers, paraprofessionals, and school aides to evolve with our students and their learning styles to deliver challenging, rigorous, exciting learning opportunities. We will encourage creativity and imagination and capitalize on the personal interest of every student. We will achieve these goals while keeping in mind our school's long history of activism at the forefront of bilingual education and multicultural studies.
